Physical Fitness plays a large role in the success of many of today's top professional golfers. We at The Golf Studio at NorthStone believe that combining professional fitness routines with first-class golf instruction greatly increases the students chances for improvement in their golf game.
Many students are physically unable to improve their swing due to poor posture, poor flexibility, and lack of strength. We have teamed up with some of the area's foremost fitness professionals to offer our students individual custom programs that are second to none. Below is a list of our partners, as well as the benefits of each routine as they relate to golf.
Traditional exercise tends to focus on one muscle group at a time, while Pilates emphasizes integrated movement. In other words, getting all muscle groups to work together. The golf swing utilizes every muscle group in the body so it makes sense that you would want an exercise program that will work multiple muscle groups simultaneously. We start with the "powerhouse"-abdominal, hip, and low back muscles-and work out to the rest of the body.
